Have you ever encountered God or wondered about His presence?

Have you ever questioned His very existence?

From my experience, there is much in this world that cannot be explained apart from the presence and activity of a supreme being.

Is He knowable? And how do we go about getting to know Him?

In this series, we will investigate who God is according to the Bible. The material will primarily come from my recent book release, I Am Eternal: Living a Life of Encouragement and Hope

Although our limited minds cannot fully comprehend an infinite God, the Bible provides us with a clear picture of His nature, and the natural world reveals His Glory.

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. -Psalm 19:1

The Apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the Romans that we can know God by observing His creation.

For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. -Romans 1:19-20

The sun’s brilliance gives us light to enjoy the beauty of God’s earthly creation, but it also blocks the view of heavenly bodies. On a clear night sky, however, even with the naked eye, you can see a blanket of stars and other celestial objects that form our galaxy and universe, which seems endless.

Just think about the sun, which is 864,400 miles (1,391,000 kilometers) across—more than 100 times the Earth’s diameter. Each star in the sky is a comparable, if not greater, astronomical body, but appears to us as a speck. The observable universe is about 93 billion light-years in size. Yet God is more immense, not in a physical body, as God is spirit (John 4:24), but in power, influence, presence, and control.

God is bigger than your problems and is more than sufficient to carry you through any trial you face.

With God on your side, you can live a life of encouragement and hope.
