Psalm 28:9 “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

This morning, this verse stood out to me as of utmost importance in how we order our lives and determine our priorities. Our hearts are searched by God and we are known by Him. The purpose and motive for everything that we do is not hidden from Him. We may be able to fool those with whom we live, work, and interact each and every day, but we cannot in any way fool God.

If you seek Him, you will find Him. If you desire to know God, and set your heart on it, your eyes will be open to the truth. The spirit will guide you into an understanding of his Word, and you will begin to see things that are truly amazing and wonderful. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to receive a  gift of something none of us deserve, by grace, God’s mercy and forgiveness. But if you turn away from Him, disregard his Word, and seek to live your life for your own comfort, pleasure, glory, and honor, you will get just what we all deserve-eternal separation from God, heaven’s gates eternally closed, and an eternity of torment in hell along with Satan and the following of demons who rebelled against God and were cast from his presence.

Our time on earth is limited, but our souls are eternal. Will you live to satisfy your temporary earthly existence, or for God and the well-being of your eternal soul?

God can be found and known.

But will you seek Him?

God speaks through his Word and through his creation.

But will you listen?

My prayer going with this post is that God will begin the process in your heart prior to you reading this and give you the faith to act on what He will teach you through his Word.
